Abstract:
The National Library and Archives Board (NLB) Singapore’s Children’s Biodiversity Library by S.E.A. Aquarium (CBLSEAA), in Central Library, is Singapore’s first-ever marine biodiversity-themed library space for children aged 12 years and below. CBLSEAA, which opened in January 2024, emerged from a community partnership between NLB, a government agency, and Resorts World Sentosa (RWS), a private company. Aiming to promote discovery and learning in an attractive family destination, CBLSEAA has raised awareness of marine biodiversity and sustainability for children through its programmes and design. Through CBLSEAA, NLB seeks to encourage a new generation of children to contemplate global challenges that they will grow up facing.
