Dear LAS members,
As you know, Singapore will be hosting the 2013 World Library and Information (WLIC) of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institution (IFLA) in August. The IFLA Information Literacy (IL) Section and Reference & Information Services (RIS) Section, together with the National Library Board are organising a Satellite Meeting on 15-16 August 2013.
The theme is “Re-defining and Refining Information Literacy and Reference Services in the Digital Age”. We have the honour to have Dr Ismail Serageldin, Director of Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Ms Sheila Webber, popular information literacy scholar as our keynote speakers as well as Ms Kimberly Johnson, User Experience Researcher from Google Inc. as guest speaker. There will also be an exciting and diverse line-up of presentations, workshop, teachmeet and poster sessions. Full programme is available here.
