Want to join us and help continue our mission?<\/p>\n<p><strong>About The Role <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Civica is looking for experienced Collection Services Officer to join our growing team. This role will require you to work closely with school stakeholders to ensure that they are adhering to their Collection Development Policy and also explore collections that will be suitable for the schools. As you are required to make school visits to review individual library\u2019s collection, you will need to have good time management and be customer service oriented. You will be the right choice if you are task oriented and a multi-tasker.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apart from reviewing the library collections in the schools, you will also have to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Prepare the collection reports for schools and discuss the report with the school leaders and Library Coordinators.<\/li>\n<li>Source, evaluate and identify relevant titles based on schools\u2019 profiles to enhance the school library\u2019s collection.<\/li>\n<li>Keep abreast of developments in school curriculum and publishing industry to ensure that the recommended list is relevant and current for schools.<\/li>\n<li>The staff shall assist in any other tasks as and when assigned by the supervisors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About You <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will have library operations and collection service experience.<\/p>\n<p>You will also have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge and awareness of the range of products and resources available for different school levels<\/li>\n<li>Passion about reading<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in IT skills and in MS Office is a must<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Your Benefits <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At Civica we believe our people are our biggest asset and we pride ourselves in cultivating a supportive and modern working environment; whilst providing you with the training and tools you need to get the job done.
