Library Officer (Marketing and Outreach) – SIM Library


Job Description


The successful candidate will be part of the Marketing and Outreach team and will assist manage the marketing and outreach activities to increase awareness and use of SIM Library resources and services and thereby enhance the user experience.

Reporting to the Executive, Marketing & Outreach, the main responsibilities include:

  • Assist design, prepare and update marketing collaterals and other materials for the web, printed and electronic channels and social media to promote library’s range of products and services
  • Coordinate the library orientation schedule for new student intakes and visitors
  • Assist plan and conduct outreach activities such as talks, product demonstrations, competitions and exhibitions
  • Serve at library service desk (on shift)
  • Carry out general admin tasks for efficient operation of the library


  • GCE ‘A’ Level/Diploma
  • Diploma preferably in a related field
  • 2 years working experience preferably in an academic library environment and covering similar responsibilities
  • IT savvy
  • Knowledge of social media and its applications
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, versatile, and results-oriented
  • Have very high service orientation and a passion to work with students
  • Prepared to do shift work (with shift allowance).
