The appointed staff will be required to manage or assist to manage the daily operations of the library. Staff will oversee the handling of tasks such as performing library loan transactions, acquisitions, cataloguing and processing of library resources, execution of library programmes and activities, etc. Staff is also required to provide reference, information and research services to assist library patrons in their research and learning needs.


  • Ability to lead library team in the provision of library services
  • Committed to delivering quality customer service
  • Patience, with attention to details
  • Experience in collection development, procurement, cataloguing and reference services would be an advantage
  • Experience working in the any public, academic or specialised libraries would be an advantage

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Good supervisory management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interact well with library users, teaching professionals and library vendors
  • Good knowledge on the use of online databases
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet users’ needs
  • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation and Internet IT skills
  • Flair in writing would be an advantage


  • A postgraduate qualification in library and information management studies
  • A good tertiary education in any discipline with at least 3 – 5 years of relevant working experience
  • Working Hours:
    • 5-day work week – in accordance with deployed client’s working hours
