LAS is excited to announce our collaboration with Skilltype! Join founder Tony Zanders for a live demonstration, roadmap preview, and Q&A session as we unveil this new platform:
Date: 29 October 2020 (Thursday)
Time: 10–11 am
Platform: Via Zoom (Details will be sent to you after registration)
Skilltype is a platform that assists libraries and information professionals with job skill analysis and development to “future-proof” professions in this realm. It will assist with “analyzing, developing and sharing expertise” so that libraries and other information centers can make the most of their workforce.
This talk will focus on developing LAS members as lifelong learners. Skilltype uses a shared descriptive framework by incorporating core competency frameworks across LIS community, including IFLA, ACRL, NASIG, & SLA.
More importantly for you, it aggregates global conference and professional association content and surfaces the most relevant resources and opportunities based on your interests.
Get a clearer understanding of the platform and its key features so you can access PD presentations, trainings, videos, articles, and more all in one place.
