LAS Workshop – Where do lonely socks go ? (4th November 2022 @ 3PM)

Dear LAS Community

LAS Programmes and Engagement Committee brings you

WHERE DO LONELY SOCKS GO?
A Workshop by Post Museum’s Renew Earth Sweat Shop

About Renew Earth Sweat Shop

Renew Earth Sweat Shop is a community and participatory art project reacting to the environmental impact and labour conditions linked to the global fashion industry. The project attempts to ‘reverse’ sweatshops—to become what a sweatshop is not, to counter waste, to rethink labour and ultimately to renew our earth.

About the “WHERE DO LONELY SOCKS GO?” workshop

Remember when you came across a single lonesome sock living a solitary life amidst a community of happily paired socks? You might have wondered about the solitude and gloominess lonely socks experience in this and other communities of sock drawers and closets. Help your sock find happiness! Encourage your lonely sock to get out more and meet new socks.

Get your lonely sock to join this workshop, meet other lonely socks, and together, we can help them find a new lease on life. Let them be lonely no more!

What will happen: Make sock puppets and other purposeful things. Socks will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own (prewashed) lonely socks.

Places are limited to 20, so please register early if you are interested. Successful registrants will be notified via email.
