LAS provides many opportunities for professional members to attend talks, tours and social events. Most of these help members to meet their professional development obligations and become or retain their Practising Professional status.
LAS also undertakes to provide occasional workshops to the professional members on specialized topics, often related to either important skills not taught in library school or new developments in technology and their applications in libraries.
These workshops are advertised on the LAS calendar and through individual emails to members.
All workshops are open to non members but differential fees may be charged.
